When I charge my iPhone 4, I always try to keep the phone off the table to avoid any scratches/damage to the back. One of the best ways to do that is to invest in a dock.
While the iPhone 4 dock is really nice and small, it is a little over priced for what you get. As an alternative, the Just Mobile Xtand has been updated to support the new design of the iPhone 4!
The Xtand is an elegant stand/dock to support your iPhone 3G/3GS or iPhone 4. When the iPhone is put into the stand, the Xtand resembles that of the iMac with its solid aluminum finish and display grip.
The Xtand further allows users to rotate their iPhone 360-degrees between landscape and portrait. This makes a great viewing angle for videos, photos, music or gaming! The bottom of the Xtand has also been redesigned and now features one continuous circular non-slip foot to ensure the Xtand stays in place.
Like the iMac, the Xtand features a small die-cut hole in the stand that allows users to fish the iPhone USB through for charging and/or sync. The hole, while providing great cable management, is only large enough to fit the USB-end of the sync cable. So, before plugging in the iPhone USB cable to your Mac/PC, run the wire through the stand.
Depending on which iPhone you have, the Xtand provides support for the iPhone 3G/3GS and iPhone 4. When the device is in the Xtand cradle, four rubber grips secure the iPhone. If you have an iPhone 4, the grips will be pre-installed. If you have an iPhone 3G/3GS, the package includes four rubber grips to fit that design. To remove the grips, simply slide them off.
Once the iPhone is securely in place, the Xtand provides easy access to all of the iPhone buttons and ports, which makes for easy charging and syncing via the dock connector.
Overall, the Just Mobile Xtand provides a very elegant method to charge, sync, and display your iPhone. The stand is angled at a great angle for typing and turns your iPhone into a small desktop computer.
The Just Mobile Xtand is available for $39.95USD from the Just Mobile online store.
