Cadillac Fairview (CF) announced on Friday it has officially launched its new digital CF SHOP! Mastercard Gift Card, available right within the company’s LiVE by CF mobile app.
The new digital CF gift card is a single-load prepaid card that can be purchased online, and supports Apple Pay and Google Pay mobile wallets, for contactless payments at all CF shopping malls.
CF says their physical gift cards can also be linked to the CF mobile app to easily access balances as well. CF digital gift cards to purchase are limited to values below $500.
“We first introduced the LiVE by CF app to Canadians in June 2020, putting the mall directory and product discovery in the hands of our shoppers,” said Jose Ribau, Executive Vice President, Digital and Innovation at Cadillac Fairview, in a statement to iPhone in Canada. “This evolution of our gift card program helps deliver the safe and convenient contactless payments consumers are expecting, especially ahead of the upcoming holiday shopping season and beyond.”
The new digital CF gift cards also help reduce plastic waste from traditional gift cards. Once within the CF mobile app, you won’t be able to lose your gift card any more.
The CF mobile app will now let customers buy, send and spend gift cards from right within the app “with just a few simple clicks.” The gift card program is being managed by EML.
