CBC Gem, which offers live TV and on-demand programming, has been updated with Sign In with Apple.
The streaming service from CBC offers live TV, full episodes of Canadian content and also support for AirPlay and Chromecast. For $4.99 per month, a Premium version of CBC Gem removes ads and also offers CBC News Network live 24/7.
With the addition of Sign In with Apple, new users can now enjoy the service without the hassle of signing up and creating an account. Sign In with Apple allows existing users to easily sign in with an Apple ID and protects your privacy. The feature limits what details CBC Gem will receive such as your name, while your email can also be masked, with Apple creating a temporary address that forwards to your real email, to avoid spam.
The app update for CBC Gem also says there is now “improved overall app stability” and minor bugs were fixed.
