Cycloramic Updated with Panoramic Photo Mode

We were one of the first to tell you about Cycloramic, the clever 360 degree video app, last December. By utilizing the vibrator motor, the app turned the iPhone 5 on a glass or smooth surface into the talk of any party. Today the app has been updated to include a much requested panoramic photo mode:

What’s New in Version 2.0
PANORAMIC PHOTO MODE
1) Guided Mode (iPhone 4/4S/5)
2) Hands-free Mode (iPhone 5 only)
With this update, Cycloramic brings you a whole new way to take panoramic pictures.

Modes Description:
1) Guided Mode (iPhone 4/4S/5)
– Simple, fully automated, 1-touch interface
– Visual, audio and vibration guide helps you take the perfect shot everytime.
– Instantaneous stitching and viewing.
– Immersive 3D Viewer with zoom.

2) Hands-free Mode (iPhone 5 only)
Just place your iPhone in an upright position on a smooth and level surface and press GO.
The Phone will automatically rotate 360 degrees while taking multiple pictures, instantaneously stitch them, generate the panoramic picture and finally open it and immerse you in our 3D viewer.

There are two panoramic photo modes: guided mode and hands-free mode. The latter is exclusive to the iPhone 5 and will automatically shoot a panoramic image with one-tap. The guided mode shoots panoramic images like any other app but also uses sound and visual indicators to let you know if your shot is going to be off centre. I tried both modes and the hands-free mode works pretty well, as it will also fire the flash to compensate for low light conditions.
