Elevatr – Record And Develop An Idea [Review]

Now and then we all have an exciting idea for a new store or product. With Elevatr you can record, and develop that idea.

What's your idea?

Elevatr is a very simple app and it’s easy to use. To start recording your idea you tap the Elevatr icon, and you’re prompted to define your idea (in 140 characters or less), then name it. From there you go to your idea’s main page, where you’ll see tabs with the headings: The Idea, The Market, The Product, Business Model, and Execution.

Each tab has 3 sections, such as Target Market, Product Features or Milestones to record your idea, and filling all of them out (using words and pictures) should help you develop your idea. Assuming you are putting a lot of thought into filling them out.

For me, Elevatr is too simple. I want to be able to link my milestones to my iCal, so I don’t have to open Elevatr and see when they occur. I want to be able to export my idea in a form that is viewable outside Elevatr. I wish Elevatr gave my some advice or links to a website that would help me fill out sections, because I don’t know how to establish a target market or figure out monetization. However,  as an app for just recording an idea in organized manner, I think Elevatr is great.

Though Elevatr’s functionality is limited, it is useful when you want to record and work through an idea. You can download Elevatr for free from the App Store here. Then, tell us if you think Elevatr is a useful app.
