Instagram has announced today its Stories feature has gained ‘Type’ mode, which allows users to share text in creative fonts, colours and various background, similar to what you can do on Facebook:
When you open the camera, you’ll see “Type” next to “Normal” under the record button. Tap “Type” and write whatever comes to mind — your favorite lyrics, a silly thought or a random idea — and play with different styles to change the look and feel. Then, you can pick different background colors, highlight words and phrases or add a background photo.

According to Instagram, the news styles are also available when adding text to any photo or video.
This new feature to Instagram is now available in the latest version of the iOS and Android apps. If you’re not seeing it, Instagram says it is rolling out globally over the coming weeks.
