Kutoto’s ‘Express Cleaning’ Books Housecleaners Instantly from iPhone

Back in February we wrote about Kutoto, an app that enabled users to easily find local hired help for various tasks, such as house cleaning, picking up groceries or handyman jobs. Kutoto recently launched a new app called ‘Express Cleaning’, dedicated to finding help to clean your home.

Speaking with co-founder Anton Yushin, he tells us when the original Kutoto app launched they noticed an influx of manual labour and cleaner oriented providers signing up for their service. The sudden influx created enough supply to launch their Express Cleaning app across major cities in Canada (but not small suburbs, yet). These are verified cleaners by Kutoto who have checked their past cleaning references.

Users answer questions within the app (there’s a Facebook login to avoid signing up but you still need to create a password), enter some contact info, answer how many bedrooms and bathrooms require cleaning, whether you have supplies or not, choose a cleaning time and then enter in your credit card (which will only be charged once cleaning is done).

The app will estimate how long and how much it will be to clean your home based on your entered preferences. The design of the app is very simple and easy to use, similar to the Kutoto app. There’s even a built-in concierge chat to assist you.

Express Cleaning offers discounts on cleaning packages if you opt to commit for bi-monthly or weekly sessions. If you are going to try out the service, promo code MOVING will get you $10 off. Since being featured in the App Store last Thursday, the app has seen a spike of 1,000 extra downloads.

As for Kutoto itself, the company says they are looking to expand to Vancouver this September and a few other Canadians markets by February.
