WhatsApp Messenger
Last week WhatsApp was removed from the App Store as they had submitted a new version to Apple. This caused some hilarious hoaxes to pop up via chain letters (people still do these things?!) that claimed the app was about to disappear. Nice try, folks. Here’s what’s new:
What’s New in Version 2.6.9
– chinese and japanese keyboard fixes
– new awesome wallpapers:
WhatsApp > Settings > Chat Settings > Chat Wallpaper
– always display Group Chat button
– various other performance and crashfixes
Netflix
The Netflix iOS app has been pretty solid for me, but some users have experienced crashes. This latest update should include further stability for viewing media:

This release features the following improvements:
– Fixed login issues impacting some users
– Improved stability during playback
– Improved stability when using an external display
Action Movie FX
We covered Action Movie FX during its launch, and it’s by far one of the coolest apps out there to ‘show off’ your iPhone to friends (esp. those BlackBerry snobs that brag about their ‘blinking’ LED for notifications). This update brings a free FX, ‘Demolition Rock’. I can’t wait to try this.
