Do you ever find yourself looking for an ATM but cannot find one? Or maybe you find one, but it’s not from your bank (fees!). Well, there’s an app for that called “No More ATM Fees”.
From the makers of the TD Canada Trust and Scotiabank apps comes a new application called No More ATM fees. The app is the same concept as their bank apps but serves a slightly different purpose.
Instead of locating bank branches, No More ATM Fees locates all of the ATM machines for the major Canadian banks that are around the user. The results are either listed or viewable on in-app Google Maps, where pins of different colors distinguish the various supported banks. The app supports the following Canadian institutions:
The app has the same clean look as the TD/Scotiabank finder apps and allows users to receive directions to the ATM or call the bank branch (if the ATM is inside a bank).
The app also includes a neat calculator that shows users how much money they have saved by using No More ATM Fees. This is relevant because in Canada, most Canadians pay at least $3.00 every time they use another bank ATM other than their own bank. The foreign ATM charges a $1.50 fee and the home bank charges a $1.50 fee.
With that being said, the app assumes that every time it is opened, users are looking for an ATM. As a result, $3.00 is added to the savings calculator. Users may also share their savings amount by Facebook, Email or Twitter.
The app is currently on promo for the next week and is available in the iTunes App Store for free.
