Skype for iPhone and iPad Gets Redesign with Easier Navigation and More

Skype has redesigned its iPhone app today to bring a new “beautiful” makeover, bringing simpler navigation, a new integrated search or content, groups and contacts, plus better multitasking between functions in the app, such as switching from call to chat screens.

What’s New in Version 6.0
· Beautiful redesign – built for iPhone.
· New simple navigation, making it easier to use the Skype features you love.
· More powerful search, so you can quickly find conversation content, groups and contacts.
· Better multi-tasking – easily switch between your call and chat screens to share photos, web links, your location and more while you talk.

Also updated was Skype for iPad, which brings features from the iPhone app over to the tablet, such as being able to start voice calls, better navigation and being able to send your location in chats.

Below is a screenshot we took of the redesign for the chat screen. Overall, it’s a much cleaner design that does seem simpler to use. Time will tell how much we like this update—let us know what you think of it!
