SPC Card Goes Digital with New iPhone App for Students

Do you remember using an SPC Card and carrying it around to get discounts? Today’s students get to benefit from digital errthang, and that’s especially the case with loyalty cards and credit cards (mom and dad’s Amex within Apple Pay FTW?!).

SPC Card has announced today the official launch of their digital card, part of the iOS app’s version 3.0 launch:

What’s New in Version 3.0.0
You asked, we answered. The Digital SPC Card is finally here! Seamlessly load your physical SPC Card straight onto your App, and save at your favourite stores between selfies and texts.

Kevin Hisko, VP Digital Innovation at SPC Card, said in a statement “With our new App, we wanted to give students something more than just a simple digital card, so we built a companion to their shopping experience and not just another distraction.”

The app was created by Toronto-based Plastic Mobile, which built-in offers by location for easy redemption via the digital card.

SPC says they have over 1.1 million members and the app’s Deal Finder can search for offers from its over 15,000 partner locations in Canada.
