Your goal in Trauma Ted is to bring Ted, a “Teddy cat” suffering from severe chronic migraines, to his medicine. However, this won’t be easy.
There are 80 puzzles, and they are challenging. You’ll be pushing blocks, riding elevators and sliders, all the while navigating the maze and timing your movements and block placements to reach the pill. After reaching a pill, you’ll earn up to 3 stars depending on how fast you completed the puzzle.
I was challenged by Trauma Ted’s puzzles, but frustrated by the tilt controls. They’re consistent, but not perfect, I wasn’t getting the precision I needed to move Ted where, and when I wanted. Also, I found the level time was way to fast. There are more than a few levels where I’ll never get 3 stars, because I can’t move Ted fast enough. One feature I did like are the 3 free pills, which let me skip a puzzle. However, the best part is when I completed a puzzle I once skipped I get my free pill back. I was really pleased I didn’t have to buy more through an in-app purchase.
If you can handle the tilt controls, and are looking for a challenging puzzle game, you can download Trauma Ted from the App Store for $0.99 here. Then, let us know if you found Trauma Ted addicting or frustrating.
