Bell Media has updated their TSN iOS app with a complete overhaul, offering revamped navigation and more.

According to TSN, there is now “an all-new, modernized design creating a streamlined reading and viewing experience, with bolder news feeds and sports sections.”

The new design uses white throughout and gone is the Sportscentre logo and red bar across the top. Fewer stories are shown in the main view and new tiny banner ads are part of the app. The app also has a full ad displayed when you launch it for the first time.

TSN says navigation has also been revamped, offering “easily discoverable content, allowing you to seamlessly navigate news pages, scores, and video collections.” Swiping from the left to right across the top menu reveals a navigation bar on the left side, with options for Home, Favourites, Sports, Watch, Listen, More and Settings.

The app also lets users customize news feeds to see personalized highlights and news from their favourite sports teams.

During Bell’s recent second quarter earnings call, the company noted TSN “remains Canada’s sports leader and #1 overall speciality channel for 2018/2019 broadcast year.” Bell Media says the Raptors championship game “was the most-watched NBA game ever in Canada and biggest broadcast of the year,” seeing an average audience of 7.9 million viewers.
