YP Dine by Yellow Pages Canada Now Supports Apple Maps Reservations

YP Dine for iOS is an app that helps Canadians find a place to eat or drink, and today Yellow Pages announced the service now supports integration with Apple Maps, to make instant reservations.

Matthieu Houle, Vice-President, Digital Media of Yellow Pages, said in a statement “Along with providing key business information for Apple Maps’ users, reservations will now only be a click away, ultimately creating a syndicated and simplified booking experience for restaurant seekers, and optimizing the restauranteurs’ opportunities to get more footsteps into their doors.”

When users search for a restaurant in Apple Maps and tap on the result to reveal more information, a button appears to make reservations with YP Dine. Once tapped, it will prompt users to continue with the YP Dine iOS app or to install it from the App Store. The integration into Apple Maps is for businesses that have opted into the Yellow Pages database for YP Dine integration.

There are nearly 1.9 million business listings in Canada as part of the Yellow Pages database.
