Apple Arcade is Taking Over Apple’s Website After Latest Ad

Apple premiered a new commercial, shining a spotlight on Apple Arcade hours before last night’s Super Bowl game. Following the game, Apple’s website appears to have now been taken over by a cast of characters straight from Apple Arcade’s catalogue.

The commercial, aptly named ‘A New World to Play In’ showcased titles such as the upcoming Oceanhorn 2, What the Golf?, and LEGO Builder’s Journey.

Following the premiere of this ad, characters from Apple Arcade games have been appearing on Apple’s US website. Reported by Forbes, once you hit the main page of Apple’s site, everything appears to be par for the course. However, if you let the screen sit for a few seconds, Hot Lava‘s Hazard character jumps on screen and bounces atop the iPhone 11s on screen.

Scroll down and you’ll find Sonic from Sonic Racing drift around the Macbook Pro. Scroll even further to discover even more characters invading the landing page including The Hero from Oceanhorn, who is sporting a pair of AirPods.

February marks six strong months since the launch of Apple Arcade, which could be why Apple has decided to let some of the service’s characters take over the website for an undisclosed amount of time.

Since launching in September, Apple has gained a lot of support from independent developers and major third-party studios. Apple Arcade?? is subscriptions cost $4.99/month or $49.99/year. Anyone trying out the service for the first time will gain a one-month trial to get a feel for the service and try over 100 games featured.
