Apple Files M1 iPad Pro into the Eurasian Economic Database

Apple has filed its upcoming M1 iPad Pro into the Eurasian Economic Database. This comes after more than a week since the official reveal of the new models were made at the ‘Spring Loaded’ event. The iPad Pro’s filing is also made ahead of its May launch.

This news comes by way of MacRumors, who reports that Eurasian Economic Database filings have been seen by the outlet. According to the report, two iPad Pros were filed with various model numbers. The iPad Pros filed are very likely to be the upcoming 11-inch and 12.9-inch models expected in the second half of May.

Per the report, one of the iPads filed with the Eurasian Economic Database included model numbers A2377, A2378, A2567, A2588, and A2602. The other included model numbers A2459, A2460, A2461, A2568, A2569, A2589, A2604. Aside from the model numbers, no information was detailed other than the devices would be running iPadOS 14.

As noted in the report, the upcoming iMac, which was revealed alongside the new iPad Pro during Apple’s ‘Spring Loaded’ event has yet to be filed. However, it’s interesting to point out Apple did file a fifth-generation fifth-generation AirPort Time Capsule and the AirPort Express. It’s curious as to why these were filed as both were discontinued back in 2018.

Apple’s upcoming iPad Pros promise upgraded specs and 5G connectivity. The 11-inch model will sport Apple Pro Display XDR while the 12.9-inch model will see Apple transitioning to mini-LED displays, dubbed Liquid Retina XDR.

Both iPad Pro models will be available for preorder starting tomorrow. Apple has yet to confirm the release date. However, leaks suggest they may launch on May 21.
