Apple’s Online Store Goes Down Ahead of Today’s ‘Unleashed’ Event

Apple is currently making significant updates to its online store. Preparations are being made ahead of today’s ‘Unleashed’ event, where the company is expected to unveil its new MacBook Pro, third-generation AirPods, and perhaps make other announcements as well.

As of the time of writing, Apple has taken its online store down. Navigating to the page, you’ll be met with a notice that the store will ‘Be right back.’ Apple notes updates are being made and to “Check back soon.” Apple’s Unleashed event will be taking place later today at 1 pm EDT/10 am PDT. Our full guide of how you can tune in and watch can be found here.

Following the event, the online store will be operational once more. If reports are indeed correct, users will be able to navigate the storefront and see details of the newly announced devices. The Unleashed event is expected to be the platform where Apple will show off its redesigned 14 and 16-inch MacBook Pros. It’s been said that both devices will sport MagSafe charging once more and will not feature the TouchBar as it will be removed. Apple may also power the new MacBooks with the next-generation M1X silicon. Additionally, the third-generation AirPods, which take design elements from the AirPods Pro may also be featured alongside a new M1X Mac mini.

It won’t be long now until we know for certain. iPhone in Canada will be covering the event so you’ll have up-to-the-minute updates right here. Apple’s online store will also provide details on the new products when available as well.
