Former Chairman of Samsung (Korea)
The South Korean High Court in October upheld a suspended three-year jail sentence for former Samsung Electronics Chairman Lee Kun Hee for his tax evasion conviction last summer. Lee was also fined $85 million. Lee, who led Samsung, the country’s biggest conglomerate, for nearly 20 years, resigned as the chairman of the group and chairman and CEO of flagship Samsung Electronics after he was indicted last April.
