Some Bell customers saw the clocks on their smartphones fall back one hour by mistake on the weekend. The problem? The end of Daylight Saving Time isn’t supposed to happen until this weekend on Sunday.
Bell told CBC News “the issue has been resolved” in a statement. “The update will be done automatically but customers may need to either reboot their phones or go on airplane mode to trigger the time change. We’d like to thank everyone for their patience.”
Some clients may have experienced an incorrect time change on their phone this morning. Our teams are investigating the situation in order to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Numerous iPhone in Canada customers let us know their phones fell back one hour last night, with some believing it may have been an iOS bug, as we have seen in the past. The issue also appears to have affected Virgin Mobile customers too.

My phone switched to Atikokan, Ontario which is in CST. My Samsung's Clock & Converter app said I'm an hour behind Toronto.
Thankfully my body woke up & Alexa clock was different and that made question when one said 5 and another said 6. I was confused because DST ends next week.— Patrick (@pbilk) November 1, 2021
