Bell’s CraveTV on Apple TV Gains In-App Purchase Option

Bell Media has announced CraveTV from Apple TV now supports in-app purchases, meaning you can subscribe directly from the app and use your iTunes account to pay the $7.99 monthly charge.

According to an emailed statement to iPhone in Canada, here are the instructions to subscribe to CraveTV from your Apple TV:

Step 1: Download the CraveTV app from the App Store.

Step 2: Subscribe directly to CraveTV from Apple TV using an iTunes account for $7.99, with a trial month free of charge.

Step 3: Register for CraveTV login credentials, which allows subscribers to stream CraveTV on any supported device, as well as on the web at CraveTV.ca.

Back in May, CraveTV made its way to Apple TV, along with Rogers’ now defunct shomi service. Despite the latter pulling the plug on their streaming service, Bell CEO George Cope said last month CraveTV “continues to grow” and they will keep competing amongst competitors such as Netflix.

CraveTV comes with a free one-month trial and was made available to all Canadians back in January.
