STARZ Streaming Service Launches in Canada March 8 for $5.99; Crave Hits 2.3M Subscribers

Last January, Bell Media inked a deal with bring STARZ content to Canada and as of today the partnership is live. STARZ is the second most-watched premium pay TV service in the United States, owned by parent company Lionsgate.

Bell will offer STARZ on TV through television providers—it will be Encore rebranded—on March 1, then one week later the streaming service will be available as an add-on to Crave, for $5.99 per month, on March 8.

STARZ streaming, since it will be an add-on to Crave, will be available on the web, iOS, Android, Apple TV 4/4K and “additional platforms rolling out in the coming months.”



“Bringing STARZ to Canada is testimony to the continued commitment to offer our viewers exclusive, premium programming at an unparalleled value,” said Tracey Pearce, President, Distribution and Pay, in a statement.

Bell Media also announced today Crave has surpassed 2.3 million subscribers, since its November 2018 launch.
