Well, it was a good run. In April 2010, Fido announced that their $35 activation fee (which is an insane fee customers pay to just start service with Fido) was waived “until further notice”.
It would now seem that this is the notice that the $35 activation fee is back, but is still being waived for a limited time, as opposed to forever.
Effective July 1 2010, Fido is waiving their $35 activation fee for new activations (new customers). The promotion expires on August 3, 2010. In other words, for all you new prospective Fido customers that want an iPhone 4, you won’t be paying the $35 activation fee.
Eligibility & Restrictions
The offer is applicable to new 2/3-year term activations on the following rate plans:
- CityFido Plans
- Plans with monthly service fee $15, $20, $25, $35, $50, $70
- iPhone Voice & Data Plans
- Mobile Broadband Data Plans
A $35 bill credit for 100% of the activation fee will appear on the customer’s first invoice.
