Rogers Expanding Manitoba Coverage To Reach 96% Of Manitobans

This week, Rogers/MTS announced that the two wireless companies are going live with HSPA+ coverage in Manitoba on March 31, 2011. This brings up to 21Mbps wireless data speeds to the province.

The press release states that the joint venture between Rogers and MTS will now bring expanded wireless voice and data across Manitoba. The coverage will reportedly cover 96% of Manitobans.

This means that Manitobans with MTS looking to pick up the latest 3G devices can do so! In other words, devices such as the iPhone, Android, and Blackberry are coming to Manitoba/MTS.

Rogers GM for Manitoba, Laura Kwiatkowski had the following to say,

“We’ve listened to Manitobans and know they want a reliable experience and more choice. Now the countdown is on for the fastest mobile speeds available in Manitoba.”
