Rogers Ignite TV has launched a new interactive app for kids and parents called ‘Fun at Home’, from Toronto-based zone tv, which also has offices in Santa Monica, California.

“We are proud to partner with Rogers to deliver this entirely new category of interactive experiences to Ignite TV customers,” said Jeff Weber, CEO of zone·tv, in an issued statement. “Starting with Fun at Home, we are responding to the needs of families coping with work from home and learn from home situations, where it is so important that family members are able to discover and engage in productive pursuits.”

The Fun at Home app is available free for Rogers customers and debuts in Canada for the first time, exclusively on Ignite TV. It is being dubbed as an “edutainment-centric” interactive service for kids of all ages. Aside from education categories, there are various movies and casual games “designed to stimulate and train young minds.”

“Providing our customers with free curated content that the whole family can enjoy is one of the ways we are enhancing the at home entertainment experience,” “With Fun At Home, our customers have free access to unique content that they can not get anywhere else and we are excited to partner with zone·tv to be the first to offer this app in Canada,” said Eric Bruno, SVP 5G, Content and Connected Home Products, in an email to iPhone in Canada.

Rogers Ignite TV customers can access Fun at Home through the Apps Menu or by mentioning the app’s name into the Ignite TV voice remote.

Back in February, the zone-ify app made its way to Rogers Ignite TV, offering “the world’s first television network powered by A.I.”
