Rogers My Account for iPhone 3.0 Released, Now Works Over Wi-Fi [u]

Rogers My Account for iPhone has received a significant 3.0 update which brings a redesign, Rogers First Rewards integration and finally access over Wi-Fi networks (previously it was limited to cellular networks to authenticate your account). Users just need to login with their existing My Rogers username and password.

Wi-Fi Access
New and free! Now use your Rogers My Account app via a Wi-Fi connection (no data charges apply).

Rogers First Rewards
My Account now provides access to the Rogers First Rewards program!
Members can:
• Browse the rewards catalogue
• View membership profile and point balance
• Check the for latest point offers
• Learn more about the program

New Navigation
Simply sign in with your My Rogers username and password then click on the icon on the top left to navigate.

Early reviews in iTunes have rated the app with 1 star due to users being unable to login to the app, showing the message “error reading from remote server”, possibly linked to heavy traffic from this update.

Fido My Account for iPhone has not received an update yet (the last update was back in July 2011), but with this recent update to Rogers My Account you can bet the former will follow suit shortly. Both Rogers and Fido My Account iPhone apps were released back in November of 2009.
