Sportsnet for iOS has been updated to support watching NHL games in virtual reality, when using a VR viewer such as Google Cardboard—or a free viewer found in cases of Molson Canadian.
Rogers and Molson have partnered to bring six live NHL games in VR, starting tomorrow. Users just need to head to the VR section of the app to check out all the VR games and highlights.
Here are the six games that will be available in VR, as they’ll be filmed by three different 360 VR cameras:
Flames @ Canucks: Saturday, Feb. 18
Canadiens @ Maple Leafs: Saturday, Feb. 25
Red Wings @ Oilers: Saturday, Mar. 4
Flames @ Jets: Saturday, Mar. 11
Blackhawks @ Maple Leafs: Saturday, Mar. 18
Senators @ Canadiens: Saturday, Mar. 25
Anyone going to be checking out games in VR? Sportsnet made the announcement earlier this month.
