Rogers Launches Today’s Parent Mealtime iOS App

Rogers Media publication Today’s Parent, has launched an iOS and Android app called Today’s Parent Mealtime, which offers a meal planner, family-friendly recipes and shopping list feature.

The new app wants to solve the “what’s for dinner?” problem families have, by introducing thousands of recipes and videos from Today’s Parent and Chatelaine. The app also allows users to add their own recipes to the app for easy meal planning during the week.

The grocery list feature—which can be shared—automatically creates a list of what to buy based on items within your recipes. Users can also search recipes by ingredient, cook time, cuisine and more.

“More than 25,000 Canadians search for ‘dinner ideas’ each month. Inspiration is great, but to get ‘dinner ideas’ on the table, busy parents need better tools to help them plan and shop. The Today’s Parent Mealtime app helps close those gaps,” said Sasha Emmons, Editor in Chief, Today’s Parent, in a statement to iPhone in Canada.

The app, while free to download, is supported by ads and also offers another avenue for advertisers to reach families, integrated into the app.
