SaskTel 3G+ Network Expands To 36 New Locations

In the beginning of December, SaskTel completed their network expansion to 26 new areas across Saskatchewan. Before the New Year, the company expanded to an additional 17 new locations. This week, SaskTel has expanded their 3G+ network to 36 new locations.

Bill Boyd, Minister Responsible for SaskTel, said:

“When the network is complete in 2011 it will be available to 98% of the population.”

The 3G+ network provides users with increased bandwidth and download speeds of up to 21 megabits per second, similar to Telus, Bell and Rogers.

While the iPhone is not yet an officially supported device by SaskTel, the network is compatible. This means that both iPhone and other international roaming customers can use their device on the SaskTel 3G+ network.
