SaskTel Brings ‘High Speed’ Internet to Crystal Lake, York Lake

SaskTel has announced this morning the resort communities of Crystal Lake and York Lake now have High Speed Internet, with download speeds of up to 10Mbps.

Ron Styles, SaskTel President and CEO, said in a press release “SaskTel is pleased to bring High Speed Internet to the residents of Crystal Lake and York Lake.”

The news brings High Speed Basic and Advanced to the two areas, with download speeds of up to 5Mbps and 10Mbps respectively, with unlimited bandwidth, free installation, along with home Wi-Fi hardware included as part of monthly plans.

This announcement is part of SaskTel’s commitment to invest over $300 million in the province on capital expenditures throughout 2016 to 2017.

Last week, SaskTel expanded its LTE wireless network in the province to 62 more towers in rural Saskatchewan, and reaffirmed new features such as VoLTE will debut in 2017.
