SaskTel Expands Faster Internet, maxTV Stream to 10 Communities

SaskTel has announced today it has expanded its interNET Extended 25 and 50 plans, along with maxTV Stream to Milestone and 9 other communities.

“I am extremely pleased with the progress SaskTel has made in recent years to expand and enhance their networks so that more of our province’s rural residents and businesses have access to the type of communications and entertainment technologies that are needed to stay connected in the modern world,” said Don Morgan, Minister Responsible for SaskTel, in a statement.

The following communities now have access to interNET Extended 25 and 50 plans, along with maxTV Stream:

  • Milestone
  • Climax
  • Frontier
  • Neville
  • Val Marie
  • Cypress Hills Park
  • Lang
  • Piapot
  • Fort San
  • Milestone
  • Tompkins

“We take an enormous amount of pride in being Saskatchewan’s homegrown communications leader and it’s this pride that continues to drive us to deliver advanced products and services to people across the province,” said Doug Burnett, SaskTel President and CEO, in a statement.

SaskTel says interNET Extended 25 and 50 plans are the “fastest rural internet packages” it has ever offered, now available in over 320 communities in Saskatchewan.

With maxTV Stream, users can restart live TV up to 72 hours in the past, use the maxTV app across a variety of devices to stream live television, plus access built-in apps such as Netflix and YouTube from the media box.
