Freedom Mobile Testing LTE in Courtenay-Comox, Campbell River, Kamloops

Back in late June, Shaw’s Freedom Mobile first announced it was coming to Courtenay-Comox on Vancouver Island in British Columbia, along with Kamloops in the province’s Okanagan interior.

One month later in July, Freedom Mobile said they were coming to Campbell River on the island as well.

Today, Freedom Mobile announced it is now testing LTE networks in these three cities, signalling an impending launch is coming soon.

“Our network is now being tested in Courtenay-Comox, Campbell River and Kamloops. We’re getting closer to offering these communities a new choice in wireless,” tweeted the wireless company.

Freedom Mobile launched in Cranbrook, B.C., last week, while other launches are still to come in Penticton, Prince Rupert, Prince George and Vernon.

On a side note, Freedom Mobile’s website recently gained a new overhaul, gaining a new predominant black and white theme with hints of its classic orange.
