Shaw today has announced the launch of their new Internet 300 plan, which offers download speeds of up to 300 Mbps and upload of up to 20 Mbps, priced at $120 per month, but with promo pricing available.
Currently, new customers can get this Internet 300 plan for $55 per month for six months on a two-year ValuePlan, with the price working out to $105 per month for the remaining 18 months.
Those opting to go month-to-month can get the plan for $55 per month, for three months only, as part of the introductory promo pricing.
Shaw Internet 300 includes an Advanced WiFi modem rental, access to Shaw Go WiFi and unlimited data.
Shaw’s rival Telus offers an Internet 250/250 plan, with download and upload speeds of up to 250 Mbps and 1TB of monthly data, priced at $90 per month, available for those with PureFibre installations at their home.

As our homes continue to become more connected, our customers will need ultra-fast Internet to support this change,” said Jay Mehr, President, Shaw Communications, in an issued statement. “Internet 300 leverages Shaw’s robust network to provide virtually all customers in the communities Shaw serves with the speeds they need to connect more devices simultaneously.”
The press release seemingly takes a passive dig at Telus and the latter’s ongoing PureFibre rollout, compared to Shaw’s faster speeds “made possible through significant network improvements and the implementation of DOCSIS 3.1 technology,” allowing the company to “deliver its fastest speeds immediately, without needing to dig up lawns or wait indefinitely for new fibre lines.”
Shaw also today announced SmartWiFi 300, available starting at $125 per month on a three-year term, and Business Internet 300 starting at $110 per month on a three-year contract. The company says SmartWiFi can be integrated with the company’s SmartSecurity and SmartSurveillance solutions, managed through one seamless dashboard.
