Telus announced today that it has expanded its 4G LTE coverage to Midland and Penetanguishene. The announcement comes a month after Bell finished its expansion work for 2013 by covering Penetanguishene, among other areas. Rogers launched its LTE network in Midland last October.

“Our customers in Midland and Penetanguishene are now among the more than 28 million Canadians who enjoy access to the world’s fastest wireless technology from TELUS,” said Darryl Hutton, TELUS director of sales. “TELUS will continue to invest in expanding our network across Ontario to bring LTE to even more communities, part of our drive to put customers first in everything we do.”

As the Telus press release points out, Canada’s No.2 wireless carrier now covers wireless data to 80% of the country’s population, across 260 communities.
