Telus prepaid brand Public Mobile yesterday unveiled a rebrand, debuting a new logo and website. The company also launched a promo offering $10 off for six months on a $50/8GB 3G plan, making it $38/8.5GB after Autopay.
The plan includes 8GB of 3G data but Autopay (adding your credit card for pre-authorized reloads) brings 500MB 3G data extra and a $2 monthly discount. You get unlimited talk in Canada and the USA, to go with unlimited global text and voicemail and call display.
Public Mobile says this promo is available August 20 to August 21 at 11:59PM ET only for new customers, available for both online and in-store activations.
“$10 credit will be applied to eligible Ready-made rate plan of $50/month,” reads the website. After six months, the plan will resume at $50/8.5GB.
Public Mobile offered this exact same promo back in June.
Part of the website change means users can no longer create customized plans like before, while LTE plans are also gone and appear to be a thing of the past, moving the brand in line with Rogers’ Chatr and Bell’s Lucky Mobile.
