TELUS has announced a $100,000 investment to bring 4G LTE networks to interior British Columbia’s largest destination ski resort, Sun Peaks, located northeast of Kamloops.
“TELUS’ investment to expand our 4G LTE network to Sun Peaks will give area residents and tourists faster wireless Internet while around town, on the slopes in the winter or on the golf course in the summer,” said Steve Jenkins, TELUS general manager for the Southern Interior.
According to the company, their 4G LTE network reached nearly 90 percent of the BC population in 2012 and plans to further expand by this year’s end.
Update: TELUS has released a second announcement, to say it will be bringing 4G LTE to Apex Ski Resort too.
