Telus/Koodo Network Down, Not Working in Parts of Ontario, Quebec, Manitoba [Update]

Telus and Koodo have been suffering from network downtime, affecting customers in the Winnipeg area, plus those in Ontario and Quebec.

“We are aware of a wireless outage impacting clients in Ontario and Quebec. Our team is already working towards a resolution and we will post updates on this thread as we get them. Thanks for your patience!” said Koodo, publicly acknowledging the network downtime earlier this afternoon.

The issue is also affecting “clients in the Winnipeg area”, added Koodo. Since Koodo is owned by Telus and uses the same network, the outage is affecting customers on both, with many unable to access their data plan.

The outages also affect Telus’ prepaid brand, Public Mobile. “We are aware of a wireless outage impacting clients in Ontario and Quebec. Our team is already working towards a resolution and we will post updates on this thread as we get them. Thanks for your patience!”, said Public Mobile in a statement online.

Telus and Koodo both say their networks are starting to work again, but if you’re not seeing service, they recommend rebooting your phone or waiting another 15-30 minutes.

Are you dealing with a Koodo network outage right now? Where are you located?
