TELUS Launches 4G Wireless Service in Carmacks, Mayo and Teslin

TELUS has announced the launch of 4G wireless service for customers in Carmacks, Mayo and Teslin, expanding the company’s coverage in the Yukon.

Brent Johnston, vice-president, TELUS Mobility Solutions said in a statement “TELUS is pleased to offer service in Carmacks, Mayo and Teslin as we continue expanding and improving our network, community by community across Canada’s spectacular North.”

TELUS says will give $25 to the Child Development Centre of the Yukon for every new smartphone customer in the Yukon through May 6, 2014, up to a maximum of $25,000. Funds raised will support new technology to aid the early detection of developmental disabilities.

The company says customers can sign onto any SharePlus plan and activate with a Whitehorse phone number.
