Telus says it will be donating the full cost of its Black History Month collection of movies on Optik TV and Pik TV, up to $10,000 to the Black Health Alliance.

“Black History month presents an opportunity for us to acknowledge the contributions and celebrate the achievements of Black leaders, past and present, amplified this year through the Optik Celebrating Black History Collection featuring Black producers, artists and potent stories,” said Darren Entwistle, CEO at TELUS, in an issued statement.

As of today, there are 50 curated Black biographical and historical films including award-winning titles, priced from $5 to $7, available on Optik and Pik TV.

Telus says it will donate up to $10,000 from these rental proceeds to help Black communities in Canada, through the Black Health Alliance.
