Telus VoLTE and VoLTE e911 Now Available Across All of Manitoba

For Telus customers in Manitoba, VoLTE has recently expanded across the entire province.

Previously, VoLTE was limited to “some parts” of Manitoba, but a Telus spokesperson confirmed to iPhone in Canada full province-wide expansion went live on May 17th.

VoLTE (Voice over LTE) allows for simultaneous use of voice and LTE data, which means better sound quality for voice calls, as they are now routed over LTE instead of falling back to HSPA.

For Apple users, those with an iPhone 6 and all newer (including SE) with iOS 10 installed and above can activate VoLTE on Telus.

Telus says VoLTE services are available Canada-wide, except in Saskatchewan, which will be coming “in the future”.

The company’s flanker brand, Koodo Mobile, launched VoLTE and Wi-Fi Calling for iPhone users back on May 4th.
