Twitch Prime by Amazon is offering up a new freebie for gamers, and that’s 12 months of access to Nintendo Switch Online for absolutely free.
The offer starts off with a free 3-month offer, then afterwards, another 9-month individual membership becomes available. The move obviously is to keep you subscribing to Prime to gain the additional benefits.
The perks of this offer include “online play, access to classic NES games, and other benefits with Twitch Prime.”
Amazon says this offer is only available to Twitch Prime members. If you aren’t a member, you need to sign up for Prime, then log in to your Twitch Prime account and click “Claim Now” to begin the claim process:
You’ll then be required to link your Twitch and Nintendo accounts. After that, for users age 18+ in certain countries, register a credit card or link a PayPal account on the Nintendo website. Finally, you’ll be able to redeem your Nintendo Switch Online membership on your Nintendo Switch. A Nintendo Switch system is necessary in order to claim this offer. You must have logged in to your Nintendo Account linked to your Nintendo Switch on the Nintendo eShop before you can redeem your Nintendo Switch Online membership.
When does this deal end? Twitch Prime says “first-time users will no longer be able to claim the Nintendo Switch Online offer after September 24th, 2019.” For those able to jump on the first offer, they will be eligible for the second 9-month offer after 60 days if they remain an active Prime member.
Amazon says the 9-month Nintendo Switch Online membership offer needs to be redeemed before January 22, 2020.
