The Elgato Eve Button, which supports Apple HomeKit, is currently on sale on Amazon.ca, available for 9% off at $63.96 CAD, shipped free with Prime. According to price tracker CamelCamelCamel, this is the lowest price on Amazon for this new accessory.
The Canadian price reflects the current exchange rate for the Eve Button, which retails for $50 in the US on Amazon.com.
The Elgato Eve Button allows users to control their HomeKit accessories and scenes without their iPhone, comprising of three actions: a single or double press and long press. Why do you need one of these? It allows guests in your home to control HomeKit scene or device when you’re not around (a HomeKit home hub is required, either in the form of Apple TV, iPad or HomePod).
As of writing, the Eve Button is not available on Apple.ca yet. The accessory was announced earlier this year at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas.
