Google Expected to Launch Google Pixel Buds Pro “Soon”

Google is expected to launch its new ‘Google Pixel Buds Pro,’ according to leaker John Prosser. The timeline of release is said to be “soon” and Prosser offers an insight into the colour options Google may offer.

In a tweet, Prosser claims that Google’s unannounced Pro models of the Pixel Buds may be around the corner. Additionally, Prosser believes the wireless audio buds will be available in four colours including Real Red, Carbon, Limoncello, and Fog. Beyond these tidbits of information, there’s still quite a lot we don’t know about the Google Pixel Buds Pro.

Prosser’s claims come a week prior to Google’s I/O event. The event will take play on May 11th and May 12 and steam online. It’s here that Google is expected to finally reveal the Google Pixel Watch as well as the new Pixel 6a.

However, there hasn’t been much to go off of regarding what the Google Pixel Buds Pro may offer. It appears as though Google may look to provide a competitive product to Apple’s AirPods Pro or Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro. Currently, Google offers the Google Pixel Buds A-Series for $124. In comparison, the AirPods Pro is available for $249. This may give us a window of how much the Google Pixel Buds Pro may cost upon launch.

Looking at a feature set, Google may look to include premium features such as Adaptive Sound, which automatically adjusts volume levels depending on surroundings. Touch controls may also be supported. It’s also incredibly likely that Google will include access to built-in Google Assistant for hands-off controls and functionality.

It’s not a guarantee that Google will reveal the Google Pixel Buds Pro at the I/O event. However, given the timing of Prosser’s tweet, it does seem likely. Though, we will have to wait a week and see.
