Anker’s 10.5-inch iPad Pro Screen Protector Shows Up on Amazon Ahead of WWDC

Aside from the expected previews of iOS 11 and more at WWDC next week, Apple is rumoured to launch new iPad and Mac models, along with the slight chance of a ‘Siri speaker’.

As for the rumoured 10.5-inch iPad Pro, a new listing by Anker for a screen protector has surfaced on Amazon.com (via 9to5Mac), which suggests this new iPad model may indeed be real.

One customer who purchased the screen protector wrote the following review:

I ordered this screen protector in advance so that I’d be ready when the new iPad Pro 10.5 in. is released. I’m glad I went with this screen protector instead of something cheaper. It is made of glass and even though it is thin, it doesn’t feel fragile (you’d probably think it was plastic at first glance). It seems like it will be durable and provide good protection but without being too noticeable. I tested it out by laying over my current iPad (9.7 in) screen, and it was basically invisible!

Another reviewer complained the screen protector broke when they tried to resize it. Anker then replied to say:

This screen protector is designed for 10.5″ iPad Pro which hasn’t been released. Could we trouble you to confirm the model of your device? I assume that you ordered a wrong item. It is unable to be compatible with other models of iPad.

Did Anker just accidentally ‘confirm’ the 10.5-inch iPad Pro ahead of WWDC?

KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who has a pretty good track record of predicting Apple product releases, stated last month a new 10.5-inch iPad and ‘Siri speaker’ are likely to appear at WWDC. Let’s wait and find out.
