All New iPod Touch and iPod Nano Rumoured for This Fall

Mac Rumors is reporting that we may see all new redesigns of the iPod Touch and the iPod Nano this fall, when Apple usually refreshes their iPod line up. This information comes from KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who has been correct with past predictions of Apple releases.

The new iPod Touch is rumoured to have the new in-cell touch display that is supposedly coming with the next iPhone. This will allow the iPod Touch to be even thinner. It may also have the rumoured 4″ widescreen display, as well as a design closer resembling the iPad.

The new iPod Nano will supposedly move away from it’s square design, and go back to the rectangle design. This could allow for a wider touch screen, supporting apps from the App Store. The new iPod Nano is also rumoured to be getting a Home Button, like all the other touch devices. Could a Nano version of iOS be coming too? Maybe this should be called the iPod Touch Mini?

The iPod line up did not change last year, so maybe these rumours could come to fruition. Sure, we saw a white iPod Touch released and some software updates, but nothing as drastic as what is rumoured here. Any iPod users out there excited for a refresh?
