Apple Introduces The Magic Mouse

Alongside the new Mac refresh this morning, Apple introduced an all-new redesigned Magic Mouse, the successor to the original Mighty Mouse.

The new Magic Mouse uses Bluetooth wireless technology and has a touch-sensitive enclosure that allows the mouse to be used as either a single or multi button mouse with finger gesture support. Users can now navigate using intuitive finger gestures (akin to the iPhone/iPod Touch) instead of the original buttons and scroll ball. The entire top of the Magic Mouse is a multi-touch surface and the mouse has a laser-tracking engine to provide a smooth experience.

The Magic Mouse also has power management systems (when used with OS X) that allow it to automatically switch to a low power mode when not in use and is powered with two-AA batteries.

The Magic Mouse will come available with the new iMac released this morning or as a standalone product for $69.
