First Mac Pro, Pro Display XDR Hands-On and Unboxing Videos Hit YouTube

Mac pro unboxing

Apple today launched Mac Pro and Pro Display XDR sales in Canada and the U.S., with maxed out combos of both to set you back $80,000 CAD. These professional machines have already received first hands-on and unboxing impressions from the usual suspects on YouTube.

MKBHD revealed he has had Apple’s Mac Pro since he filmed his 16-inch MacBook Pro first impressions video, using the machine for the past couple weeks or so.

In his video, he details how the new Mac Pro is “pretty heavy” and also notes there are new black Apple stickers inside, while the machine itself with the case off is a work of art. He says the machine is very quiet and very fast. There’s one fan in the computer for power supply and three fans at the front helping with airflow throughout the machine. One concern was the effect of dust over time within the machine as there is no filter along the front.

Jonathan Morrison shows off his Mac Pro and Pro Display XDR unboxing at about the 7-minute mark below. The Pro Display XDR stand has a magnet and easily connects itself to the monitor, which looks pretty easy and cool:
