iWork For iPhone Caught On Camera!

Yesterday, new iWork for iPhone evidence was found on Apple’s website. The discovery was found on Apple’s international online stores when users follow the process to order a new iPhone 4.

During the ordering process, users can select a “Learn more” link for AppleCare which reveals more information about the service. On that page, there is a section devoted to software support mentioning “Using iWork for iPhone and other Apple-branded iPhone apps”.

Previous to the former discovery, earlier in June, evidence was found that revealed the iPhone’s ability, with iOS 4, to open attachments in external applications. This hinted at the possibility of iWork, Apple’s productivity app for the Mac and iPad, being released on the iPhone.

Needless to say, there is a good chance that iWork is coming to iPhone.

Today, a pair of screen shots reveal Pages, one of three iWork apps, to be running on an iPhone and iPod touch. The first screen shot shows an option to export a file as either a Pages or a Word document (PDF option is missing). The second screen shot shows the Pages document browser.

The app is being described as in beta testing, though how close to release an iWork suite for iPhone might be is unknown.
