Microsoft is expanding its Xbox Cloud Gaming initiative even more by bringing the cloud gaming feature to more countries as a part of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. Starting on October 1, 2021, playing in Japan, Brazil, Mexico and Australia will be able to jump in and bring their Xbox experience with them on multiplay devices.

Announced during Xbox’s Tokyo Game Show conference, Microsoft will now be supporting Xbox Cloud Gaming in 26 countries around the world. In an Xbox Wire blog post, Catherine Gluckstein VP of Project xCloud explains that with the latest expansion, Microsoft’s Azure-powered cloud service will be offered to more than 3 billion players.

Xbox Cloud Gaming is an extension of Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription. On top of gaining access to online services and a rotating Netflix-style catalogue of over 100 games, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate enables players to play Xbox Game Pass games on their mobile devices, PCs, and tablets all from the cloud. Soon, consoles will join the fold, meaning the player will not have to install the game prior to trying it out. Xbox Cloud Gaming is also based on custom Xbox Series X consoles, so players will experience fast load times and high frame rates, even when playing on the cloud.

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate includes access to acclaimed games like Hades, Gears 5, Minecraft Dungeons, and more. Upcoming and highly anticipated titles include Halo Infinite, Forza Horizon 5, and Back 4 Blood, all of which can be expected later this fall and holiday season.

Additionally, Microsoft has recently announced that both Marvel’s Avengers and Scarlet Nexus are available on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate starting today. Marvel’s Avengers includes the base game and all additional heroes and story content, including the War for Wakanda expansion upon its arrival today. Scarlet Nexus will also be available later today, as announced at Tokyo Game Show.

Xbox Cloud Gaming is available in Canada and has been since its early inception. It’s currently supported on Windows, Android, and iOS devices.
