Based on earlier reports and rumours that Apple’s 6th-generation 2021 iPad mini might sport a design similar to that of the current 4th generation iPad Air, the concept designer over at SvetApple.sk has shared some renders of what we might get in this year’s iPad mini upgrade.
Most next-gen iPad mini rumours hint at a flat edge design with a larger 8.9″ display. The concept uses the same dimensions, with a resolution of 2360×1640 pixels. The display unit has 500 nits, TrueTone function and P3 colour spectrum support.
It will sport Apple’s A14 Bionic processor with 4GB of RAM. The USB-C port will be used for charging, and will replace the classic Lightning port.
“The Touch ID fingerprint scanning system located in the upper lock button takes care of unlocking. There is a 7MP FaceTime HD camera on the front and a 12MP f / 1.8 lens at the back. iPad mini 6th generation can support Smart HDR 3 or Portrait mode, which brings us to its performance.”
