Amazon Music has announced podcasts are now streaming in Canada, available on all streaming tiers.

Users can stream podcasts on Amazon Music through Alexa, the Amazon Music app, and on desktop. Amazon says on top of your favourite podcasts being available, new originals from Amazon Music will be available for free, which includes access on all Echo devices.

With Alexa, you can just say for example, “play the latest episode of Stuff You Should Know!” and it will start streaming. Podcasts can also be downloaded to listen offline.

“With the launch of Podcasts on Amazon Music in Canada, our goal was simple: to give customers access to even more entertainment and culture in one place,” said Mike Lawless, Head of Amazon Music, Canada, in an issued statement. “We’re thrilled to offer an elevated listening experience to our Canadian customers, with rich content from some of the world’s most beloved creators.”

Podcasts on Amazon Music launched back in the U.S. in September 2020, and five months later they have expanded to Canada.
